Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at reddressa.shop.

We want customers to shop with confidence. This Return and Refund Policy explains our return procedures, refund process, voluntary returns policy, statutory cancellation rights, and procedures for faulty, damaged, incorrect, or missing products.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable UK consumer law.

1. 30-Day Voluntary Return Policy

In addition to any mandatory statutory rights, reddressa.shop offers a 30-day voluntary return period for eligible products.

You may request a return within 30 days after the date on which your order is delivered.

To be eligible under our voluntary return policy, the item should:

  • Be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received;
  • Be unworn, unused, and unwashed, except for reasonable examination;
  • Include original tags where applicable;
  • Include original packaging where reasonably possible;
  • Be free from customer-caused stains, odours, alterations, or damage; and
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase or sufficient order information.

This voluntary 30-day policy does not reduce any statutory rights that apply separately.

2. UK Right to Cancel Online Purchases

For eligible distance purchases, UK customers generally have statutory cancellation rights for most goods purchased online. Government guidance provides for notification of cancellation within 14 days after receipt, followed by a further 14 days for returning the goods.

Where these statutory cancellation rights apply, you may notify us that you wish to cancel the eligible purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods.

After notifying us of cancellation, you should return the goods within the applicable statutory return period.

You do not need to provide a reason when exercising a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.

3. How to Request a Return

Before returning an item, contact us at:

info@reddressa.shop

Please provide:

  • Your order number;
  • Your full name;
  • The email address used for the order;
  • The product you wish to return;
  • The reason for the return, where applicable; and
  • Photographs where the product is damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise affected by a visible problem.

We will review the request and provide the appropriate return instructions.

Do not send a return to an address found independently on the internet or on a shipping label without first contacting us. The original shipping location may not be the appropriate return-processing location.

4. Change-of-Mind Returns

For voluntary change-of-mind returns outside any statutory right requiring otherwise, the customer is responsible for the reasonable direct cost of returning the product.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and retaining proof of postage.

We cannot be responsible for a return shipment lost in transit where the customer selected and arranged the return carrier, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

5. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If your product:

  • Arrives damaged;
  • Is defective;
  • Is materially different from its description;
  • Is the wrong product; or
  • Has another qualifying conformity problem,

please contact info@reddressa.shop promptly.

For a visible problem, include photographs showing both the product and, where relevant, its packaging.

Where a product does not conform to applicable consumer-law requirements, statutory remedies may include refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, or rejection depending on the circumstances and timing.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the statutory short-term right to reject qualifying non-conforming goods is generally subject to a 30-day time limit.

Where we are responsible for supplying a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, we will not require the customer to bear return costs where applicable law requires those costs to be borne by us.

6. Items Excluded From Change-of-Mind Returns

Certain categories of products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation or voluntary return rights where permitted by law, including, depending on the product:

  • Goods made to the customer's specifications;
  • Clearly personalised products;
  • Products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • Sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • Certain sealed audio, video, or software products after unsealing; and
  • Other goods for which applicable law provides a cancellation exception.

UK government guidance recognises statutory exceptions for categories including personalised goods, perishable goods, and certain unsealed hygiene products.

An exception to change-of-mind returns does not remove rights relating to goods that are faulty or otherwise fail to meet mandatory legal requirements.

7. Reasonable Examination of Products

Customers may reasonably inspect eligible products to determine their nature, characteristics, and suitability.

However, where a product has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, any legally permitted reduction in refund value may be applied.

Normal reasonable examination should not by itself prevent a statutory cancellation return.

8. Exchanges

We do not guarantee direct exchanges for every product or order.

Where an exchange is requested, we may:

  • Arrange a replacement where appropriate;
  • Ask you to return the original product and place a new order; or
  • Offer another reasonable solution depending on product availability and the circumstances.

For faulty products, statutory repair or replacement rights may apply separately.

9. Refund Processing

Once a return is received, it may be inspected to confirm:

  • The returned item corresponds with the authorised return;
  • Its condition;
  • Whether all relevant components have been returned; and
  • Whether a refund or another remedy is appropriate.

Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.

For qualifying statutory cancellations, refunds will be processed without undue delay and within the applicable legal timeframe. UK guidance states that the trader must refund qualifying online cancellation returns within 14 days after receiving the goods back.

After we issue the refund, banks and payment providers may require additional time before the funds appear in your account.

10. Original Delivery Charges

Because reddressa.shop provides free standard shipping, customers are not normally charged a standard outbound shipping fee requiring reimbursement.

If any exceptional paid delivery service is offered in the future, statutory refunds relating to delivery charges will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

11. Return Shipping Costs

For ordinary voluntary change-of-mind returns, return postage is normally the customer's responsibility unless:

  • Applicable law requires otherwise;
  • The product is faulty;
  • The wrong product was supplied;
  • The product was materially damaged before delivery; or
  • We expressly agree to cover the cost.

Do not send a return using a cash-on-delivery service unless we have explicitly agreed in writing.

12. Refused and Unclaimed Deliveries

If a parcel is refused or remains unclaimed and is subsequently returned, we will assess the circumstances after the parcel has been received back.

Any refund will be handled in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

Reasonable costs arising solely from an unjustified refusal may be taken into account only where legally permitted.

13. Missing Items

If an order arrives with an item missing, contact us promptly at:

info@reddressa.shop

Include your order number and details of the missing item.

We may request photographs of:

  • The parcel;
  • Shipping label;
  • Outer packaging; and
  • Products received.

This helps us investigate the shipment.

14. Order Cancellation Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, contact:

info@reddressa.shop

We will make reasonable efforts to stop the order before shipment.

If the order has already entered processing or has been dispatched, cancellation before delivery may no longer be technically possible. Your applicable return and statutory cancellation rights remain available after delivery.

15. Promotional and Sale Items

Unless clearly stated otherwise, eligible sale and promotional items are covered by this policy.

Mandatory statutory rights apply to discounted goods in the same manner required by applicable law.

16. Proof of Purchase

We may request reasonable proof of purchase before processing a return or refund.

Acceptable information may include:

  • Order confirmation;
  • Order number;
  • Receipt;
  • Payment information; or
  • Other evidence reasonably showing that the product was purchased from reddressa.shop.

17. Refund Abuse and Fraud

We reserve the right to investigate suspected:

  • Return fraud;
  • Refund fraud;
  • False non-delivery claims;
  • Repeated abusive return activity;
  • Manipulated evidence; or
  • Attempts to obtain refunds for products not purchased from reddressa.shop.

Nothing in this section permits us to deny a legitimate statutory consumer right.
